Cassiere selected RRAC Sports Information Director of Year

NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana’s Ed Cassiere has been voted by his peers as Red River Athletic Conference Sports Information Director of the Year for 2021-22.

Cassiere, XULA’s associate athletics director for strategic communications, will begin in July his 17th year at the longtime NAIA member. He is responsible for publicity about all 14 of the university’s intercollegiate teams.

Cassiere will be considered for the NAIA’s national SID of the Year award; that winner will be announced in September.

This is Cassiere’s second league award in four years. He was chosen Gulf Coast Athletic Conference SID of the Year for 2018-19. XULA joined the RRAC in July 2021.
