Cabrini High School Cross Country Team hosts relay meet to kick off start of season
The Cabrini High School’s Cross Country team will host its third annual Cross Country Invitational Relay Meet, an event that is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated meets of the year as an opening season kickoff.
Using a non-traditional cross country format, the 6-mile relay and 3-mile relay involves teammates running a leg of 1.5 miles in a similar manner to a traditional track relay, one after another.

How: The cross country season begins on September 1. Due to the Labor Day weekend, there are no scheduled races so Cabrini decided to create one. This is a great way for all of the area runners to prepare for the season in a fun relay meet. This year the meet has grown in size considerably, having almost 60 varsity relay squads and almost 50 middle school squads in the mix. Teams are traveling from all over the metro area to attend and beyond.
