Brother Martin pitcher Alex Laiche commits to Blinn College, Walker Bazile and Bryce Gauthier to Delgado

Alex Laiche

Brother Martin pitcher Alex Laiche has committed to play college baseball at Blinn College.

Laiche was 5-4 with a 2.40 ERA during the prep season in helping lead the Crusaders to the Division I semifinals.

In 64 innings pitched, Laiche allowed 55 hits, walked 24 and struck out 77.

Walker Bazile

Meanwhile, two other Crusaders are staying close to home.

Walker Bazile of Brother Martin and Bryce Gauthier will play for Delgado.

Bazile was an all-district performer in 2022, hitting .441 with 15 doubles and 19 RBI. Gauthier batted .333 with a home run and 13 RBI this past season for the Crusaders.
