Brother Martin basketball games with Jesuit, St. Aug rescheduled
Postponed by the frigid weather Tuesday night, the District 9-5A contest pitting Brother Martin at Jesuit will now take place on Saturday, Feb. 3.
The ninth-grade game between the Blue Jays and Crusaders is slated for 4:30 p.m., followed by the junior varsity contest. The varsity game will be at 7 p.m.
Brother Martin (3-0) is the early leader in the Catholic League with Jesuit (2-1) tied for second with St. Augustine. The two teams will meet again on Friday, Feb. 9 at Bob Conlin Gymnasium.
Later this week, Brother Martin will face St. Augustine but not on the originally scheduled day or time. The district contest has been moved from Friday to Saturday afternoon. The junior varsity game tips off at 3 p.m. with the varsity matchup to follow at 4:15. The ninth grade game will not be played.
