In 2022, three local teams won state soccer championships among the eight classes.

All three return with outstanding chances to repeat while three area teams are top seeds in the LHSAA playoffs with the championships set for Southeastern Louisiana Feb. 22-25.

In the boys brackets, defending state champion Catholic of Baton Rouge (11-1-3) earned the top seed in Division I and the Bears will entertain No. 32 New Iberia in the opening round.

Perennial power St. Paul’s (14-1-4) is the second seed and will host No. 31 Walker Saturday at 5 p.m.

Mandeville (20-2-5) is seeded third and the Skippers welcome No. 30 Ponchatoula (6-10-5) in a District 5-I rematch.

No. 4 West Monroe (17-3-1) plays at home against No. 29 Woodlawn of Baton Rouge Friday at 6 p.m.

No. 6 Jesuit (12-3-3) entertains No. 27 Fontainebleau (8-11-5) at John Ryan Stadium. The Blue Jays blanked the Bulldogs 8-0 on Dec. 29.

No. 13 Hahnville (14-2-4) has won four straight games is at home against No. 20 Northshore (10-8-3).

No. 22 Brother Martin (6-8-4) makes the long trip to Shreveport to face No. 6 Byrd.

No. 25 Bonnabel (7-6-2) heads to No. 8 St. Amant.

No. 26 Hammond (11-5-5) plays at No. 7 Denham Springs.

In Division II, Ben Franklin (16-3-3) is the top seed and the Falcons, who carry a seven-game win streak into the playoffs, will host to No. 32 Ellender.

Defending state champion St. Thomas More (14-2-6) is the second seed and the Cougars play host to No. 31 North DeSoto Wednesday at 5 p.m.

Archbishop Rummel (18-5-1) gets the third seed and the Raiders are at home against No. 30 Minden Friday at 3:30 p.m.

No. 4 East Jefferson (14-5-4) will entertain No. 29 Higgins (5-10-3) in a rematch of District 7-II rivals. The Warriors shut out the Hurricanes 8-0 on Jan. 12.

No. 5 Holy Cross (16-3-4) awaits No. 28 Archbishop Shaw (5-12-2). The Tigers handled the Eagles 7-0 on Nov. 30.

No. 7 Grace King (12-3-4) plays at home against No. 26 McKinley.

No. 17 Belle Chasse (13-7-2) will play at No. 16 Terrebonne.

No. 21 Lakeshore (10-10-3) travels to No. 12 Teurlings Catholic Sunday at 4:30 p.m.

No. 22 New Orleans Military & Maritime (8-10-2) will play at No. 11 Natchitoches Central.

In Division III, University Lab (19-1-1) is the top seed and the Cubs host No. 32 Washington-Marion Saturday at 3 p.m.

No. 2 Bossier (19-2-2) is at home against No. 31 Livingston Collegiate (3-8-2) Friday at 6 p.m.

No. 3 St. Louis Catholic (14-3-4) will host No. 30 Union Parish Saturday at 3 p.m.

The Willow School (12-4-4) earned the fourth-seeded and the Lions will entertain No. 29 Livonia.

No. 11 Haynes Academy (13-4-4) is at home against No. 22 Sterlington.

No. 12 Archbishop Hannan (10-9-4) gets a home date with No. 21 De La Salle (5-12-3). The Cavaliers beat the Hawks 2-1 on Jan. 20.

No. 13 Kenner Discovery (10-5-3) is at home against No. 20 Morgan City.

No. 18 Morris Jeff Community (9-7-2) is at No. 15 Tara.

No. 19 Lutcher (7-8-6) will travel to No. 14 Leesville.

No. 23 Landry (5-6-4) plays at No. 10 Belaire.

No. 27 Pearl River (3-11) plays at No. 6 St. Michael.

In Division IV, defending state champion Newman (16-2-4) is the top seed and the Greenies will host No. 32 Riverside Academy (1-18-2) Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Holy Savior Menard (16-4-2) gets the second seed and is at home against No. 31 Thomas Jefferson (5-9-3).

No. 3 Episcopal of Acadiana (14-1-3) is home against No. 30 Fisher (9-6-1).

No. 4 St. Charles Catholic (15-4) will entertain No. 29 River Oaks Friday at 4:30 p.m.

No. 7 St. Thomas Aquinas (10-6-1) plays host to No. 26 Houma Christian.

No. 8 Country Day (8-6-6) will play at home against No. 25 Dunham.

Two area teams collide as No. 10 St. Martin’s Episcopal (10-6-1) hosts No. 23 International High (7-10-1).

No. 11 Pope John Paul II (11-6-3) entertains No. 22 Vermilion Catholic.

No. 15 Northlake Christian (7-7-2) is at home against No. 18 Ouachita Christian.

On the girls side, St. Joseph’s Academy (18-3-2) gets the top seed and the Redstickers are at home against No. 32 Zachary.

No. 2 St. Scholastica (18-1-4) is home against No. 31 Live Oak.

No. 3 Captain Shreve (23-0-1) will play No. 30 Thibodaux.

No. 4 Byrd (16-3-5) gets No. 29 Acadiana.

No. 5 Dominican (15-2-6) is at home against No. 28 Baton Rouge High. Dominican downed Baton Rouge 5-0 on Jan. 16.

No. 9 Mount Carmel Academy (15-5-3) will entertain No. 29 H.L. Bourgeois Friday at 5 p.m. at Tad Gormley Stadium.

No. 21 Destrehan (10-8-2) travels to No. 12 Alexandria.

No. 16 Hahnville (11-8-3) earned a home game against No. 17 New Iberia.

No. 11 Mandeville (19-7-3) will entertain No. 22 Sulphur Friday at 6 p.m.

No. 15 Fontainebleau (12-9-1) gets a home game with No. 18 Barbe.

No. 27 Slidell (10-10) heads to No. 6 Dutchtown.

In a District 5-I rematch, No. 26 Ponchatoula (10-9-2) plays at No. 7 Northshore (13-6-2) .

Lakeshore (14-8-5) is the second seed and the Titans host No. 31 Franklin Parish.

No. 3 Teurlings Catholic (11-7-5) will entertain No. 30 South Lafourche.

No. 4 Caddo Magnet (16-8) is at home to No. 29 Riverdale (5-9-1).

No. 5 Ben Franklin (13-6-2) will play host to No. 28 New Orleans Military & Maritime (9-7-1). The Falcons handled NOMMA 8-0 on Jan. 12.

No. 12 Archbishop Chapelle (12-5-2) welcomes No. 21 Minden.

No. 15 East Jefferson (9-8) will host No. 18 Natchitoches Central at Joe Yenni Stadium.

No. 17 Belle Chasse (7-4-5) travels to No. 16 North DeSoto.

No. 24 Academy of Our Lady (5-9-1) plays at No. 9 David Thibodaux.

In Division III, Archbishop Hannan (11-4-4) gets the top seed and gets a first-round matchup with No. 32 St. Martinville.

No. 2 Parkview Baptist (17-5) welcomes No. 31 De La Salle (1-15).

St. Michael (10-7-3) is the third seed and will host No. 30 Franklinton (7-9).

No. 4 St. Louis Catholic (11-6-3) hosts No. 29 Morgan City Saturday at 1 p.m.

Defending Division IV state champion Academy of the Sacred Heart (11-6-3) is the seeded sixth and entertains No. 27 Bossier Saturday at 5 p.m.

No. 11 Lutcher (12-4-3) will host No. 22 Leesville.

No. 12 The Willow School (11-7) plays at home against No. 21 DeRidder.

No. 15 Kenner Discovery (12-10-1) welcomes No. 18 Haynes Academy (10-9). The Yellow Jackets edged the Swamp Owls 2-1 on Jan. 11.

In a District 7-III rematch, No. 16 Pearl River (8-9-1) is at home to No. 17 Cabrini (8-7). The Crescents edged the Rebels 1-0 on Jan. 5.

No. 19 Ursuline Academy (10-8-3) goes to No. 14 Cecilia.

No. 24 Patrick Taylor (3-11-4) makes a long trip to No. 9 Sterlington.

In Division IV, defending Division III state champion Loyola Prep (13-5-4) is the top seed and the Flyers will play No. 32 Rapides Friday at 5 p.m.

No. 2 Grace Christian (19-1) gets a home game with No. 31 Delta Charter.

No. 3 Pope John Paul II (11-4-1) plays at home against No. 30 Fisher (5-10-1).

No. 4 Episcopal (13-2-1) hosts No. 29 Riverside Academy (11-9-1).

No. 6 Newman (15-4-5) will host No. 27 Vermilion Catholic.

No. 7 St. Thomas Aquinas (13-2-2) entertains No. 26 Lafayette Christian.

No. 8 McGehee (8-6-1) is at home against No. 25 Holy Savior Menard.

No. 12 Country Day (7-8-4) entertains No. 21 St. Charles Catholic (11-9-1). The Cajuns downed the Comets 2-0 on Jan. 9.

No. 18 Thomas Jefferson (15-5-2) goes to Shreveport to take on No. 15 Evangel Christian.
