Boys/Co-Ed Bowling: Jesuit, Slidell stay unbeaten

Jesuit rolled a 3,340 team series in a 27-0 shutout of St. Therese Thursday at AMF All Star Lanes in Kenner.

The Blue Jays (7-0), one of two remaining unbeatens in the New Orleans region along with Slidell, got solid performanes from throughout its roster.

Jonathan Cho started with games of 265 and 233 before finishing with a 633 series. William Carpenter had an opening-game 235, Joseph Anderson closed with a 226 and William Adams had games of 225 and 205.

Ryan Hebert’s opening-game 213 was the best of the day for St. Therese (2-4).

Jesuit will join Archbishop Rummel, Archbishop Shaw and Brother Martin in heading to Gonzales Monday to face Baton Rouge-area squads. Crescent City Sports will have live whip-around coverage of the four matches.

Slidell 19, Destrehan 8: The Tigers, in their first season of LHSAA bowling, remained perfect with a win over the Wildcats at Colonial Lanes in Harahan.

Hunter Mullen had games of 225 and 234 as part of a 632 series to lead Slidell (7-0), which led 9-7 after two games before pulling away in the final game.

Beau Senior’s 588 series, including games of 216 and 214, and Logan Cannon’s 580 paced Destrehan (3-3).

Archbishop Shaw 20, Patrick Taylor 7: The Eagles bounced back from the first loss of the season with a 3,353 team series in defeating the Tigers at Westside Lanes in Harvey.

Joshua Collins had a 679 series on games of 208-257-214 to lead Shaw (5-1), while Garrett Alello had a 617 series that included a 237 middle game.

Jaden Lieu closed with a 242 for a 651 series to lead Patrick Taylor (6-2), which had a six-match winning streak snapped.

Archbishop Rummel 26, Holy Cross 1: The Raiders fired a season-best 3,188 series in dispatching the Tigers at AMF.

Blake Caire and Matthew Fletcher each had games of 226 and 200 to lead the way for Rummel (5-1). Caire finished with a 604 series.

Cody Miller’s 499 series led Holy Cross (3-3).

Brother Martin 26, St. Augustine 1: The Crusaders got a dominating first game from its right side in defeating the Purple Knights at Colonial.

Ashton Catalinotto fired a 259, Kade Chatelain had a 256 game and Jacob Vangilder a 230 as Brother Martin (5-1) opened with a 1,242 team game.

Will Sam’s 210 middle game claimed the lone point for St. Aug (0-6).

Kenner Discovery 22, Pearl River 5: The Swamp Owls extended their winning streak to four by defeating the Rebels at AMF.

Kenner Discovery (5-1), which led 11-5 after two games before sweeping the final game, got a 464 series from Judah Vogel.

Izaiah Auglair had a 451 set and claimed a pair of points for Pearl River (1-4).

Belle Chasse 21, Crescent City Christian 6: The Cardinals defeated the Pioneers at Westside Lanes in Harvey.

Belle Chasse (2-4) led 6-2 after the first game and 13-3 after two. Bryce Shepherd’s 565 series, including a 205 final game, led the Cardinals.

Chaz Emery’s 222 finale was the best of the day for Crescent City (2-5).

John Ehret 25, Hahnville 2: The Patriots got back to .500 by topping the Tigers at Colonial.

Ehret (4-4) won seven of eight points in the first two games before sweeping the final game. Matthew Nguyen led the Patriots with a 528 series.

Caleb Sheppard’s career-best 145 game claimed one of the two points for Hahnville (0-7).
