Boys Prep Basketball Playoff Report for Thursday, Feb. 24

The LHSAA boys prep basketball playoffs get underway Thursday evening with three area teams in action.

In Class 5A, District 6-5A rivals in No. 24 Fontainebleau (16-8) and No. 9 Slidell (19-8) square off in Slidell at 7 p.m. The two teams did not play in the regular season as both matchups were canceled.

In Class 4A, No. 2 McMain (18-5) will host No. 31 Rayne (6-11) at 7 p.m.

No. 14 Salmen has forfeited its opening round game to No. 19 Northside.

In Division III, No. 14 Cristo Rey (3-16) travels to No. 3 Notre Dame (17-3) in regional round play. The game is set for 7 p.m. at Northside Christian.

In Division IV, No. 5 Country Day (12-9) entertains No. 12 Westminster Christian (15-10) at 7 p.m. in the regional round.
