Boys Basketball: M.L. King Charter posts 55-49 win at Salmen

Area Boys Prep Basketball Report for Friday, Feb. 7

Make it three straight wins for M.L. King Charter but what a difference two weeks make.

The Jaguars went on the road Thursday evening to Slidell and downed Salmen 55-49, avenging a 53-38 loss at home to the Spartans on Jan. 28.

Owen Pickens led M.L. King Charter with 17 points, Markie Swearington had 16 and Juan Brown added 13 points.

It was the third straight loss for Salmen (20-10). The Spartans had won 17 of 20 games prior to the losing streak.

The Jaguars will host Einstein Charter Monday at 6 pm while Salmen plays at Pearl River tonight at 7:30 pm in District 8-4A action.
