Bowling: Chapelle beats Cabrini for second time in week

The schedule maker dictated that Archbishop Chapelle take on Cabrini for the second time in a week Monday at AMF All-Star Lanes in Kenner Monday afternoon.

For the second time in a week, the Chipmunks had the measure of the Crescents, this time by a 21-6 margin to remain unbeaten.

Chapelle (3-0) won all three games by a 6-2 margin.

Chapelle took game one as Bailey Hymel shot 185 while Jessica Ladd added a 182 game. Kayla Gallagher was outstanding for Cabrini with a 207 game while Jaya Jenson had a 165 game.

In game two, the Chipmunks got a 165 from Hymel and a 159 game by Sarah Rubi. Gallagher had a 168 game for Cabrini (1-2).

In game three, Hymel completed a 523 series with a 173 game while Ladd had a 170 game as part of a 499 series. Jenson shot 169 for the Crescents to finish off a 461 series while Gallagher had a 144 game to complete a 519 series.

Both teams return to action Thursday in Kenner as Chapelle battles unbeaten Academy of Our Lady in a showdown for the league lead while Cabrini takes on Mount Carmel.
