Bowling: AOL stays unbeaten with win over Chalmette
Academy of Our Lady remained unbeaten in prep bowling league action Wednesday afternoon with a 24-3 victory over Chalmette at Westside Lanes in Harvey.
The Penguins (6-0) took game one 8-0 as Erin Burkart shot 189 and Linzie Bladsacker had a 184 game. Kayla Hall had a 142 game for the Owls.
AOL took game two 7-1 as Lauren Michel had a 147 game and Burkart had a 133. Allison Deffes fired a 184 for Chalmette.
The Penguins wrapped up the victory with a 6-2 win in game three as Jacqueline Cook had a 145 game and Shelby Elwin had a 139. Deffes had a 179 game for Chalmette (4-3). Deffes had a 501 series for the Owls while Burkart shot 456 for AOL.
