Booker T. Washington appeal denied, leaving football team out of state playoffs

The appeal of seven forfeits levied by the LHSAA on Booker T. Washington for alleged use of an ineligible player has been denied Monday morning.

A Lions official confirmed the decision to CrescentCitySports.com and noted his disappointment for his coaches and players.

As a result, the Lions will be out of the Class 3A playoffs and the full brackets will be released shortly for the state playoffs, which begin this weekend.
