Bleu Devils sweep GCAC Men’s Track & Field weekly awards
NEW ORLEANS, La. – Dillard’s Benjamin Todd and Johnathan Kitchen were named this week’s GCAC Men’s Track & Field Athletes of the Week with Kitchen winning it for the second time in-a-row.
Todd won the 400m during the Florida A&M Relays on Saturday, running a personal-record of 49.05 which places him sixth nationally and beating his previous low mark by 1.5 seconds in the event.
Kitchen placed third in the shot put with a throw of 13.43m, his third top-four placement in the event this season. He also slotted in at 14th during the javelin throw with a distance of 27.13m at the FAMU Relays.
