Basketball: St. Paul’s fends off Mandeville in OT
Area Prep Basketball Report for Wednesday, Jan. 22
St. Paul’s jumped on Mandeville early and grabbed a commanding 35-21 lead by halftime. The Skippers stormed back in the second half to tie the game 52-52, sending it to overtime.
The Wolves outscored Mandeville 13-8 in the extra period for the important win.
Evan Seicshnaydre led St. Paul’s (17-6, 4-1) with 19 points, Ben Broussard had 13 points and Zach Fenn chipped in with eight points.
Will Sheppard topped the Skippers (17-8, 3-2) with 25 points while Gavin Faure’ had 16 points. Nathan Lambertson added nine points.
The Wolves remain a game behind Ponchatoula in the district. The Green Wave (17-8, 5-0) handled Fontainebleau 75-38.
