Basketball: Sarah Reed boys, Ursuline girls among Thursday winners
Area Prep Basketball Report for Friday, Dec. 4
In boys action Thursday, Sarah Reed traveled to the West Bank and defeated John Ehret, 39-27.
Dontroy Thorne led the Olympians with 12 points and nine assists.
Sarah Reed (5-3) returns to action this evening at Chalmette at 6 p.m. while the Patriots (0-2) play at New Orleans Military & Maritime Monday at 6 p.m.
In girls action, the East St. John Tournament got underway Thursday and Ursuline defeated Rayville, 50-45.
Senior Tyrielle Williams and junior Nicole Young each scored 12 points to lead the Lions while junior Catherine Legendre added nine points.
Ursuline (4-2) returns to action against Destrehan Saturday at 9 a.m. in the tournament.
