Basketball Report: Tournament action throughout South Louisiana this week

A host of tournaments get underway today in both boys and girls prep basketball throughout South Louisiana.

Boys tournaments take place at Catholic of Baton Rouge, Doyle, Dunham and White Castle. Mandeville plays a pair of games at The Dunham Tournament against Sam Houston at 3 p.m. and Pine at 6:30 p.m.

In another top game, St. Augustine (1-0) plays at Karr (1-1) at 7:15 p.m.

Girls tournaments occur at Dunham, Ellender, Fontainebleau and St. Mary’s Academy.

Chalmette plays at Hammond while Fontainebleau takes on Morgan City in the Fontainebleau tournament while East St. John takes on Warren Easton in the St. Mary’s Academy tournament.
