Basketball Report: De La Salle, St. Paul’s look to remain unbeaten in district play

A pair of teams on the rise look to continue to maintain their high power rankings and unbeaten status in district play on Lundi Gras.

In District 10-3A, defending Division II state champion De La Salle (16-9, 6-0) entertains St. Charles Catholic (7-17, 0-5) at noon.

The Cavaliers have won six in a row, all in district play. De Le Salle whipped the Comets 52-24 on Jan. 26 at LaPlace. The Cavs are fourth in the latest Division II power rankings.

In District 6-5A, St. Paul’s (25-6, 12-0) looks to remain unbeaten in district play at home against Mandeville (7-21, 2-10) at 6 p.m.

The Wolves have won four straight and 13 of the last 14 games. St. Paul’s won 68-36 at Mandeville on Jan. 19. St. Paul’s is second in the latest LHSAA Division I power rankings.
