Basketball: Jesuit whips Curtis for second district win in as many nights

Area Prep Basketball Report for Sunday, Jan. 24

Jesuit continued its fine play Saturday, capturing its second Catholic League victory in as many days with a convincing 78-44 home victory over John Curtis Christian.

The Blue Jays won at St. Augustine, 60-51, on Friday night.

Jesuit took total control from the start and never let up, sprinting out to a 21-5 lead after one quarter and led 38-13 by halftime. It was 61-26 after three quarters.

Mike Britsch led the way for the Blue Jays with 21 points.

Jesuit (14-6, 2-1) ventures out of district to play at Newman Tuesday night at 7 p.m. while John Curtis (4-6, 2-2) travels to St. Augustine Tuesday night in District 9-5A action.
