Basketball: Curtis girls opens with convincing win at Mandeville

Area Girls Prep Basketball Report for Wednesday, Nov. 14

Two-time defending Division I state champion John Curtis Christian opened its 2018-19 season with a convincing 59-29 victory at Mandeville Tuesday evening.

John Curtis jumped out to an 18-8 lead after one quarter and increased its lead to 37-16. The lead grew to 54-20 after three quarters and the Patriots costed to victory. Kristen Baham led the Skippers with nine points.

The Lady Patriots will host Madison Prep Friday at 6 p.m. in its first home game while Mandeville visits Independence Friday at 5 p.m.
