A pair of teams who reside in the same district and city remained unbeaten Friday evening.

Slidell continued its fine start to the 2019 season with a convincing 10-0 victory over Patrick Taylor at Slidell Friday night in a game shortened to five innings by the mercy rule.

The Tigers (3-0) scored in each of the first three frames, scoring a run in the top of the first inning, adding four more in the second inning and scoring two in the third inning to make it 7-0. The Tigers ended it with three games in the bottom of the fifth.

Beau Adams led the Slidell attack with three hits and three RBI while Jayden Raynes had three hits and two RBI. Kaden Harvey pitched five innings and struck out four to pick up the win. Kyle Smith had the only hit of the game for Patrick Taylor.

The Tigers will host Loranger Tuesday at 6 p.m. while Patrick Taylor will host Lusher Charter next Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Northshore used a gigantic final inning to post a 16-6 home victory over Lakeshore in a game shortened to six innings by the mercy rule.
