Benedic finished with three hits and four RBI.

Lakeshore scored two in the top of the first inning before the Jaguars scored a run in the bottom of the frame. The Titans got two in the third before Pope John Paul II rallied with three runs in the bottom of the fourth tie it 4-4. It stayed that way until the ninth inning.

Hannah Potter had two doubles and two RBI while Kam Rodriguez and Peyton Callahan each contributed three hits. Baleigh Tillison had two hits and scored three runs.

Ella Babin picked up the win in relief of Ashley Chighizola, going eight and two-third innings, allowing one earned run on seven hits. Babin walked four and struck out eight.

Pope John Paul II (6-1) will open District 7-2A play Thursday at Independence at 4:30 p.m.
