NATCHITOCHES – Another day, another change for the Northwestern State baseball team’s season-opening weekend series at Southern Miss.

The lasting effects of the winter weather in northwest Louisiana will keep the Demons from traveling Friday and will put the series with the Golden Eagles on a Saturday-Monday schedule.

The series reverts to a three-games-in-three-days scenario, which was the original plan before it briefly became a Saturday-Sunday set.

Northwestern State and Southern Miss will play at 5 p.m. Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday and 12 p.m. Monday at Pete Taylor Park in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
