Barbe, Sam Houston make Perfect Game’s national high school baseball preseason top 50

When it comes to Louisiana high school baseball, the best of the bunch may reside in the southwest part of the state.

To be more precise, Lake Charles may have the two best teams in the Boot.

Amateur baseball coverage website Perfect Game has Class 5A powers Barbe and Sam Houston as the only Louisiana teams in their national top 50 rankings to start the season.

Barbe is 21st and Sam Houston is 32nd in the rankings while Argyle (Texas) has the number one spot.
