Auburn transfer Paris Mullins joins McNeese women’s basketball roster

LAKE CHARLES – McNeese second year head women’s basketball coach Lynn Kennedy has announced the addition of Auburn transfer Paris Mullins to the 2022-23 roster.

“We are excited to add Paris to our team,” said head coach Lynn Kennedy. “She will bring experience at multiple post positions and has an unbelievable passion for the game. She is a winner and brings a championship mindset.”

Mullins, the 6-2 junior forward from McDonough, Ga. saw limited playing time last season with the Tigers, seeing action in five games for an average of nine minutes per game.

Prior to Auburn, Mullins transferred from Butler Community College (Kan.) where she played one season and prior to that played one season at Walters State Community College (Tenn.).

Mullins averaged 10.0 points and 5.7 rebounds as a sophomore at Butler CC, starting 21 of 23 games. She earned All-Conference honors and helped lead her team to the NJCAA national tournament in 2021. She scored in double-figures 12 times during the season.

As a freshman at Walters State, she averaged 13.4 points and 7.3 rebounds per game while shooting 48.3 percent from the floor. Starting 25 of 29 games, she recorded seven double-doubles while helping the Senators to a 20-10 record.

She averaged 12.8 points and 9.0 rebounds as a high school senior at Henry County and was an honorable mention all-state selection in class AAAA.
