Ashaad Clayton of Warren Easton named Metro Prep Player of Week
Senior running back Ashaad Clayton of Warren Easton has been named the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl Greater New Orleans Quarterback Club, 106.1 FM NASH ICON, CrescentCitySports.com and Friday Night Football Prep Player of the Week for Week No. 14 of the prep football season.
A Colorado commit, Clayton rushed 19 times for 274 yards and four touchdowns as Warren Easton took down top seed Lakeshore 64-55 in the Class 4A semifinals in Mandeville.
Clayton is coached by Jerry Phillips. He will be honored at the year-end meeting of the Greater New Orleans Quarterback Club on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at noon at Rock’n’Bowl at 3016 South Carrollton Ave. in New Orleans.
