Archbishop Hannan remained hot with a 5-1 victory over Cabrini Thursday in a District 7-III matchup.

The Hawks spread the wealth with five different players scoring goals, including Kristin Schneider, Kaitlyn Brady, Rachel Maestri, Paige Wilson and Brooke Messa.

“We moved the ball fairly well and took advantage of opportunities we created in the first half,” Hannan coach John Dempsey said. “The wind kicked up in our face during the second half and made things difficult. Their goalkeeper was fantastic and made things difficult for us, especially in the second half.”

The victory was the fourth straight for Hannan, ranked fifth in the most recent LHSAA Division III power rankings. The Hawks now have an eight-match streak without a loss.

Hannan (8-2-3) will return to district play, hosting International High next Tuesday. The Crescents (5-3-2) will also return to district play against New Orleans Military & Maritime next Tuesday.
