A pair of teams trying to win their first Catholic League game square off this evening when Archbishop Shaw hosts Jesuit at Hoss Memtsas Stadium.

Game time is 7 p.m. and you can listen to it live on WRBH, 88.3 FM and at www.wrbh.org with Jude Young of CrescentCitySports.com and Shaw principal Mark Williams.

The Eagles are coming off of their most impressive performance of the season, leading most of the way before falling 21-20 in overtime to Salmen. Quarterback Chris Dufrene left the game injured and was replaced by sophomore Tyler Nichol, who completed 6-of-7 passes including a touchdown toss to Luke Pounds. Sophomore Rayon McGrew is back and has added a threat running the ball for the Eagles.

The Blue Jays are coming off of a very tough 22-21 loss to Rummel at Yulman Stadium. Michael Torry is the top running back while senior quarterback Alex Watermeier has had good moments but needs to be more consistent.
