Archbishop Chapelle handles St. Michael, 56-31

Archbishop Chapelle led from start to finish in a convincing 58-41 victory onday night over St. Michael in Metairie.

The Chipmunks jumped out to an 18-5 victory before leading 26-9 at halftime. Chapelle pulled away to a 43-15 lead after three quarters.

Anoush Stamm led the way for the Chipmunks (10-3) with 21 points and eight rebounds. Hiruni Fernando had 10 points and seven rebounds. Madison Cruz contributed six points and 10 assists and Makayla St. John had eight points for Chapelle.

Casey Crouch topped the Warriors (4-7) with eight points while Amanda Stewart had seven points. The loss was the fifth straight for St. Michael.

Chapelle will next host Teurlings Catholic Saturday at 2 p.m. while St. Michael hosts St. Thomas Aquinas Thursday at 6 p.m.
