Tulane WBB Schedule in AAC 2017-18

NEW ORLEANS – The American Athletic Conference announced the league slate for the 2017-18 women’s basketball season, finalizing Tulane’s schedule for the upcoming campaign.

The Green Wave also received its television selections, which includes six ESPN3 appearances, two appearances on ESPNU, one on ESPN2 and a single showing on the American Digital Network.

With the addition of Wichita State as the conference’s 12th basketball member, next year’s 16-game conference format will see a slight change, with Tulane facing five teams twice while competing against the other six teams just once.

Following a 14-game non-league slate, the Green Wave will tip conference play with consecutive road tilts, including an 11 a.m. (CT) tip on New Year’s Eve against USF on ESPNU, before heading to Tulsa on Jan. 3 for an 11 a.m., mid-week contest.

Tulane’s home contests in conference play include Houston (Jan. 6), Wichita State (Jan. 13), Tulsa (Jan. 21), ECU (Jan. 24), USF (Feb. 3), Temple (Feb. 7), UConn (Feb. 21) and SMU (Feb. 26). Road matchups after the first two are slated for UCF (Jan. 17), UConn (Jan. 27), Houston (Jan. 31), Cincinnati (Feb. 10), Memphis (Feb. 18) and Wichita State (Feb. 24).

The 2018 American Conference Women’s Basketball Championship will remain in Uncasville, Conn., following the announcement of a new agreement between the league and Mohegan Sun Arena through the 2020 season. The tournament will take place March 3-6 and will air live on the ESPN networks.

The Green Wave returns three-time All-American Athletic Conference honoree and rising senior Kolby Morgan, who averaged 19.2 points per game last season. Morgan sits sixth all-time with 1,634 points, just 625 points shy of the all-time record. The Wave returns eight letterwinners and welcomes five newcomers.

For tickets, call the Tulane ticket office at 504-861-9283. Season tickets start at $55 for a single chairback or a Family-4-Pack bleacher seating for $100.
