The battery case in Las Vegas against New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara has been delayed at least another two months.

The lawyers in the case requested an additional 60 days Monday in court. The hearing was also delayed back in April.

Kamara is one of four men charged with conspiracy to commit battery and battery with substantial bodily harm in connection with an incident outside of a Las Vegas Strip nightclub during Pro Bowl weekend Feb. 5. Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Chris Lammons is another one of the men charged.

The delay in the case likely increases the chances Kamara will not face discipline including suspension by the NFL during the 2022 season. The league in similar cases has tended to wait for the legal process to run its course.

Kamara practiced Monday as the Saints held their first training camp practice in full pads.
