After not renewing its title sponsorship of championship events with the Louisiana High School Athletic Association in 2020, the Allstate Sugar Bowl is again joining forces with the LHSAA.

Sugar Bowl CEO Jeff Hundley said on this week’s Crescent City Sportsmakers Podcast that his organization is “close to signing an agreement” to be a sponsor of the Ochsner Prep Classic in the Caesars Superdome Dec. 10-11.

“We had stepped away … as sponsor of all their championships,” Hundley said. “We’re excited to get back in a small way on the football side.”

The new episode of the Crescent City Sportsmakers Podcast, featuring the full, wide-ranging conversation with Hundley, premieres on Thursday.
