It was far from a happy homecoming for Parkway but the night made for a nearly perfect road trip for Alexandria Senior High.

On homecoming Friday night at Preston Crownover Stadium, the visiting Trojans dominated the Panthers en route to a 42-0 win.

After a sluggish start, Alexandria finally broke the stale mate 6:32 before the half with a one-yard touchdown run by Chris Gray. The first score came a little later than hoped but it was only the beginning for ASH.

Judd Barton hooked up with Derrald Moore on touchdown strikes of 58 and 35 yards later in the quarter to make it 21-0.

The big of play of the night came at the beginning on the second half when jarvis newton’s 95 yard kickoff return for a touchdown took away any hope for a turnaround by Parkway (2-1).

The Trojans added to the lead on a 13-yard run by Chris Gray and a 67-yard burst by jarvis Newton.

Alexandria’s defense strangled the Parkway offense throughout the game to cap off a complete effort by the Trojans.

“All three phases of the team played well tonight,” said Alexandria head coach Thomas Bachman.

Parkway will head on the road to Benton next week while Alexandria will look to stay unbeaten at Peabody.
