Saints release DT Taylor Stallworth
An undrafted long shot last year made the team and contributed in New Orleans against the odds. One week into his second season, Taylor Stallworth has been released by the Saints according to his agent:
Just got word that the New Orleans Saints are releasing DT Taylor Stallworth. 2nd year guy played a big role in their defense last season. Extremely deep and talented group this year and I'll be surprised if he doesn't get claimed on waivers.

The University of South Carolina product played 318 snaps last season and saw action in both playoff games for the Saints. The 6-foot-2, 305-pound Stallworth’s snaps will likely be replaced in large part by offseason free agent acquisition Mario Edwards, who was inactive the first two games of the season due to injury. New Orleans had Stallworth inactive last week against the Rams while playing this year’s unexpected rookie free agent find, former Tennessee nose tackle Shy Tuttle.
