Adam Miller announced on social media Friday that he is withdrawing from the transfer portal to return to LSU for his redshirt sophomore season in 2022-23.

The 6-foot-2 guard out of Peoria missed last season after transfering from Illinois to LSU due to an ACL injury in during the preseason.

Miller started 29 of 31 games as a freshman for the Illini in 2020-21, averaging 8.3 points and 2.8 rebounds while shooting 34 percent from three-point range. Illinois won the Big Ten tournament and earned a No. 1 seed in the 2021 NCAA Tournament.

New head coach Matt McMahon has now managed to retain Miller, Mwani Wilkinson and Justice Williams from last year’s Tigers’ roster under Will Wade.
