Academy of Our Lady approaches records in win over Cabrini

It was a banner Monday afternoon for Academy of Our Lady at Westside Bowl in Harvey.

The Penguins dominated from start to finish in a 25-2 victory over Cabrini to remain unbeaten at 4-0.

AOL did it in style, firing a season-high 1,140 game in a 6-2 victory in game one. Erin Burkart fired a 232 game, Danielle Poussard had a 226 and Lauryn Hartsell shot 215. Kayla Gallagher had a 172 for the Crescents.

The Penguins took game two 7-1 behind a 172 game by Poussard and a 162 game by Linzie Bladsacker. Gallagher had a 150 game for Cabrini.

AOL shutout Cabrini 8-0 in game three as Hartsell fired a 202 while Bladsacker shot a 198 game and Poussard had 187. Katie Heller had a 168 game while Jaya Jenson had a 166 for the Crescents.

Academy of Our Lady shot the highest girls series in the area thus far this season with a 2,959.

Poussard finished with a 585 series, Bladsacker shot 530 and Hartsell shot 521 for AOL. Jenson had a 451 series while Gallagher shot 446 to lead Cabrini as the Crescents fell to 3-3.
