There are four additional arrivals for LSU’s football team outside of their 2022 signing class.

Preferred walk-on players add to roster depth without taking scholarship spots. Here’s more on the new quartet:

-QB George Hamsley (6-4, 200) Memphis, Tenn.

A two-sport performer for Memphis University School, he also starred as a right-handed pitcher in baseball.

-WR Javen Nicholas (5-11, 175) St. Augustine

With explosive 4.5 speed and a 38″ vertical, the Honor Roll student with a 4.26 GPA is talented enough to play Division I. He accumulated 1,522 all-purpose yards for the Purple Knights along with 18 total touchdowns as a receiver and return specialist last season. He will be looked at closely for special teams.

-DE Kells Bush (6-3, 285) Edna Karr

Despite offers from Memphis, Akron and Southeastern Louisiana, he jumped on the opportunity offered instead to compete at LSU. Nicknamed “Prime Time,” Bush can line up in a 5-tech role as a power rusher or slide inside. He has a quick first step off the snap.

-PK Trey Finison (5-9, 183) Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Heading back down south after three seasons at Northwestern Univeristy, the National Honor Society member graded very well at the prestigious Chris Sailor Kicking Camp. Finison averages 58.7 yards on his kick offs and landed 91% of his kickoffs in high school into the end zone.
