Ken Trahan’s Original Prep Football Report set for debut of 26th season Friday
The 26th year of Ken Trahan’s Original Prep Football Report debuts on Friday, Oct. 2 with the best and most comprehensive coverage of prep football in Louisiana.
The show includes six hours of coverage from 6-p.m.-midnight, heard locally on the flagship station of The Original, 106.1 FM, and on the internet at www.nashfm1061.com.
The Original is also heard on several network stations, including Sports Talk 97.7 FM in Ruston/Monroe, 103.7 FM The Game in Lafayette, WSLA 1560 AM and 93.7 FM in Slidell, Caddo Country 105.3 FM in Vivian/Shreveport/Bossier and The Sports Rebel 1320 AM in Vivian.
Coverage begins at 6 p.m. with Countdown to The Original, live from Francesca’s by Katie’s Deli Pizzeria at 515 Harrison Ave. in Lakeview, hosted by Les East of Crescent City Sports.
Each Friday night during the regular season is a specific school night at Francesca’s with Friday night being Haynes Academy Night with Yellow Jackets head coach Ben Powell. All supporters of Haynes are welcome and encouraged to attend.
The Countdown Show will feature previews of top games around the state, along with analysis by East and Powell.
The Original begins at 7 p.m. with reports from 42 top games from around the state and a complete scoreboard update with Jude Young and Emmanuel Pepis, in conjunction with Crescent City Sports, where you can access up-to-date scores all evening every Friday.
When games conclude, there will be a few interviews with winning coaches and in the 10-11 p.m. hour, listen for a pair of final scoreboard updates along with expert analysis from all over the state in every sector of the state.
At 11 p.m., the six hours of coverage concludes with the simulcast of Friday Night Football from WGNO and WNOL with Ed Daniels and J.T. Curtis which airs on 106.1 FM and on 1560 AM.
