Wrestling: Brother Martin takes lead after opening day of Black Horse Tournament

Brother Martin got off to a great start, advancing 12 starters and two backups to the semi-finals of the Stewart Shay Blackhorse Invitational at Houston High School in Germantown, Tennessee.

Brother Martin has the team lead with 156.5 points with Tennessee power Christian Brothers of Memphis, Tenn. second with 127.5 points.

Among the standouts for the Crusaders, junior Patrick Evans (145) scored three pins in the first period in times of :16, :55 and 1:35. Senior Luke Cotton (126) is seeking his record fourth individual title at the prestigious event.
