Series History
Tulane and Ole Miss have played 130 times. Ole Miss leads the series, 83-45-2. The Green Wave won the last meeting, 6-5, in an elimination game in the 2016 NCAA Oxford Regional. Prior to that, the Wave won two of three games in Oxford in 2011, and the Rebels won two of three in New Orleans in 2010. The series dates back to 1898 when Tulane and Ole Miss met twice. The Rebels won 14-6 and 7-3, but in 1899 the Green Wave claimed 11-5 and 6-4 victories.

Quick Notes
•  Tulane swept its season-opening series for the first time since 2014.
•  Tulane has won its opening series in nine of the last 11 years.
•  The opening weekend wins were a team effort: 10 different players got a hit, 10 different players scored a run and seven different players recorded an RBI.
•  Wright State scored in eight innings last weekend, and Tulane responded with at least one run in the bottom half of the inning six times.
•  Each of the three victories was recorded by a relief pitcher. Freshman Connor Pellerin earned the win Friday after pitching effectively for 1.2 innings in his first collegiate appearance. Junior Ross Massey closed out Saturday’s game with 3.0 shutout innings to help secure the extra-inning win. Sunday, Trent Johnson recorded the final out of the fifth inning of the 11-5 win.
•  Tulane recorded seven stolen bases in three games last weekend, including five on Sunday.
•  The opening weekend lineup included three newcomers in the lineup – catcher Acy Owen, first baseman Trevor Jensen and left fielder Ty Johnson. The starting rotation included two newcomers in Junior RHP Kaleb Roper and graduate RHP Ben White, and two New Orleans natives in Roper and sophomore RHP Keagan Gillies.
