The St. Augustine vs. Archbishop Shaw game in District 9-5A Saturday has been moved up three and a half hours to 11 a.m. from the original 2:30 p.m. start time at Tad Gormley Stadium as a result of the approach of Tropical Storm Nate.

“We waited as long as possible but it is the right thing to do, given the time frame of when the storm is supposed to arrive,” said St. Augustine head coach Al Jones. “That’s the only reason for the change. Shaw has to travel a distance and they have to prepare. 11 a.m. is the best time and it gives everyone a chance to get home and take care of their loved ones and belongings before things get could get bad.”

The Purple Knights are 4-1 overall and 2-0 in Catholic League play while the Eagles are 0-5 overall and 0-2 in 9-5A.
