Soccer: De La Salle boys, girls post wins Wednesday

It was a good day on the pitch for De La Salle.

The Cavalier boys and girls were both victorious Wednesday.

In boys action, De La Salle blanked Thomas Jefferson 5-0 at Pan American Stadium.

Isaac Osorto and Taylor Weeks each scored a pair of goals for the Cavaliers while Marvin Nunez added a goal for the Cavaliers (6-3-3). Hernando Bozley had a clean sheet in goal for De La Salle.

At La Salle Park, the Cavalier girls shutout Landry-Walker 2-0 for their first win of the season.

Katelyn Nelson and Dulce Rivera each scored a goal while Kylie Curry had a clean sheet in goal for De La Salle (1-7-2).

The De La Salle boys and girls return to action Friday at Joe Yenni Stadium against East Jefferson with the girls match at 4 p.m., followed by the boys match at 6 p.m. The Jaguar boys (2-10) will host McGehee next Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. while the Landry-Walker girls (2-5) will play next Wednesday at Ben Franklin at 3:45 p.m.
