Soccer: Brother Martin tries Jesuit, MCA travels to Northshore
In a battle for supremacy in District 6-1, Brother Martin (10-5-5) and Jesuit (14-4-5) will square off Monday at 6 p.m. on the pitch at John Ryan Stadium.
The Crusaders were 15th while the Blue Jays were 24th in the most recent LHSAA Division I power rankings.
Brother Martin and Jesuit meet again Saturday at 1 p.m. at Farley Field on the Brother Martin campus.
In girls action, two-time Division I state champion Mount Carmel (23-2-1) travels to Northshore (8-4-5) for a 6 p.m. kickoff.
The Cubs are coming off of a rare loss Saturday, falling 2-1 to Vandebilt Catholic, the top-ranked team in the most recent Division III power rankings.
Mount Carmel was second while the Panthers were ninth in the most recent LHSAA Division I power rankings.
