Saints standouts Jordan, Kamara receive NFL monthly awards for November

The NFL has selected New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan as the NFC’s Defensive Player of the Month and running back Alvin Kamara has been selected as the NFL offensive Rookie of the Month for November.

Jordan is responsible for 4.5 sacks and 13 tackles in November, including two in the Week 12 game against the Los Angeles Rams. The defensive end ranks No. 5 among defensive lineman for combined tackles with 46 and No. 5 in sacks with 10.

It’s the first time Jordan has won the Player of the Month award and he is the first Saints to be honored with it since 2009.

During November, Kamara rushed for 303 yards in addition to 291 yards receiving for a total of 594 yards and six touchdowns in the month.

Kamara received several league awards this season including Rookie of the Week honors four times and the FedEx Ground Player of the Week against the Buccaneers in Week 9.
