Another injury has cropped up for the New Orleans Pelicans

Rookie guard Frank Jackson will have a second surgical procedure on his right foot in three months, league sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Jackson, the 31st overall pick in the NBA draft out of Duke, broke his right foot and faces surgery Friday, sources said.

Although taken in the second round, the 19-year old Jackson was signed to a three-year contract with the first two seasons guaranteed.

Earlier this week, New Orleans lost starting forward Solomon Hill for 6-8 months to a torn hamstring. Quincy Pondexter, who missed the past two seasons due to injury, was traded to the Bulls earlier today in a salary dump.
