Can New Orleans have one of these teams? Not if it requires adding Carmelo Anthony, it appears.

The disgruntled Knicks star reportedly will not entertain waiving his no trade clause to join the Pelicans, reports the New York Post. An NBA source tells the Post New Orleans also would have interest in trading for Anthony.

Meawwhile, it appears Anthony is intent upon a trade to send him from New York to Houston so he can team up with the dynamic backcourt of James Harden and former New Orleans point guard Chris Paul.

Pelicans big man DeMarcus Cousins alluded to his efforts recently to convince top NBA players to join forces with him and fellow All-Star frontcourt star Anthony Davis in the Crescent City. It’s proving a tough sell with ‘Melo, a target of Boogie’s plans to bolster the Pels.
