News and notes…

** District 5-I begins play on Tuesday as Fontainebleau hosts Mandeville while Slidell hosts Hammond and Covington travels to Ponchatoula. The Greenies check in at fourth in the Division power ratings, the highest in the past five years.

** One of the most competitive non-district battles of the week features Hannan at Northshore, also on Tuesday. The Panthers will start their District 5-I schedule on Thursday when they host Fontainebleau.
