ESPN has carried the NFL Draft live since 1980. This year the network will have even more competition.

Fox, who will dole out $660 million per season for the next five years in order to carry 11 Thursday Night NFL games, has decided to jump into the fray with draft coverage. The network will carry the first round on April 26 and the second and third rounds the next day.

This year, the draft originates from Dallas. ESPN and the NFL Network are also planning to carry the draft.

Speaking of the NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns are now making noise that they are genuinely interested in the latest Heisman Trophy winner, Baker Mayfield. The organization will visit Mayfield. Former Redskins GM Scot McCloughan is in an advisory capacity with the Browns, assisting general manager John Dorsey and head coach Hue Jackson. The Browns currently hold the first and fourth overall choices. Word is they are very interested in Mayfield.

The 2012 Heisman winner Johnny Manziel has proclaimed that he is ready to turn the page of his life and career. He is looking for any takers in the National Football League but the only offer he has received is from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL. Manziel and his handlers feel like his shortest path to the NFL is beginning with the the Spring League instead.

The Spring League kicks off March 28 and runs until April 15. It’s a four-team league with all games played in Austin, Texas. The 25 year old quarterback hopes that this will give all NFL teams a chance to get a good look as to just how far he has come. The Summer League is open to all players not contracted to an NFL team.

The Chicago Bears are expected to cut Mike Glennon loose, according to ESPN. The 6-foot-6 QB was a third round pick of the Buccaneers in 2013 and inked a $45 million, three-year deal with the Bears prior to the ’17 season. He was paid $16 million for starting four games last season before rookie Mitch Trubisky, the second overall pick last spring by Chicago, was given the job. Glennon is due a $2.5 million roster bonus, and the Bears are not going to play Glennon $15 million in 2018 to be a backup.

The Boston Globe says that New England running back Dion Lewis may have a suitor in the Detroit Lions. The fifth round pick of the Eagles in 2011 following his college career in Pittsburgh became a Pro Bowl player in his second year with the Patriots. Now he may end up playing for new Detroit head coach Matt Patricia, who left New England after 14 seasons on Bill Belichick’s staff.

CBS Sports’ Jason LaCanfora reports that Miami defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh could also be seeking a new home. The 31-year old recorded 47 tackles and 3.5 sacks last season. He is entering his fourth season of a six-year, $114 million deal and is set to count $26 million against the cap. Cutting him after June 1 would save the Dolphins $17 million. Suh is a five-time Pro Bowler and four-time All Pro.
