Mount Carmel, Pearl River win on lanes vs. Chalmette
Mount Carmel downed Chalmette 22-5 at Bowling USA in Slidell on Tuesday.
The two sides tied game one 4-4 as the Owls won four matches while the Cubs won two but took total pins as Chalmette had just four bowlers. Lexus Orso and Jarah Jacques led the Owls with games of 136 and 132.
The Cubs took control in game two, winning 8-0 behind a 184 game from Taylor Hunn and a 164 game from Catherine Nicosia. Kayla Hall had a 137 game for the Owls.
Mount Carmel (2-3) wrapped up the win with a 7-1 victory in game three. Eden Francis had a 149 game while Hunn shot 131 for the Cubs while Teranyce Brown shot 130 for Chalmette (4-3).
In boys action, Pearl River defeated Chalmette 21-7.
The Rebels took game one 6-2 as Christian Kelch shot 198 and Paytin Lee had a 197 game. Sebastian Maher topped Chalmette with a 215 game.
Pearl River (6-2) won game two 7-1 as Kelch fired a 246 game while Beaux Wrenn shot 200. Maher had a 214 while Chad Ducote added a 175 game for the Owls.
The Rebels took game three 5-3 as Kelch had a 199 game to complete a 643 series while Timothy Melerine had a 199 game for Chalmette. Maher finished with a 602 series for the Owls (3-3).
