BATON ROUGE – In an effort to improve access and involvement for fans and student-athletes, LSU is moving this year’s Fan Day and all future Fan Days to the spring as part of the National L Club Spring Game festivities.

“This move will greatly improve the festivities of that weekend and give our student-athletes more time to really get involved,” Deputy Athletics Director Eddie Nunez said.

LSU will now make the day part of the National L Club weekend and have current and former players involved. The new Fan Day concept will feature football players and coaches and will also involve other sports and student-athletes.

Nunez said multiple construction projects and facilities improvements currently underway would have made Fan Day difficult to conduct this year, making it a good time to make the move to spring.

Currently, three of the facilities that LSU has used for Fan Day in recent years are unavailable due to ongoing construction and enhancement projects.

Fans are reminded that LSU football posters and the popular placard schedule poster can be picked up during normal business hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday on the first floor of the LSU Athletic Administration Building.
