LSU needed big time playmakers for their offense in the recruiting class of 2018.

The Tigers reeled in the biggest available Friday.

Parkway High School wide receiver Terrace Marshall, the top ranked player in the country at his position, announced that he plans to enroll early in Baton Rouge next month.

Louisiana’s No. 1 prospect out of Bossier City picked LSU over Texas A&M, Texas, Florida State and others.

The 6-foot-3 Marshall’s talents has been favorably compared to former Alabama and current Oakland Raiders receiver Amari Cooper.

LSU assistant Steve Ensminger helped reel in Marshall, who will compete for snaps with the Tigers as a true freshman. LSU’s top two wide receivers this season – D.J. Chark and Russell Gage – are seniors.
