Karr defensive end Jamier Jackson named Metro Prep Player of Week

Karr defensive end Jamier Jackson is the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl/Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation, CrescentCitySports.com and Friday Night Football prep Player of the Week for Week 14.

A senior, Jackson was in on seven tackles, including five for loss and three sacks as top-seed and defending Class 4A state champion Karr downed fourth-seed Warren Easton 20-12 in the state semifinals at Behrman Stadium. Jackson is coached by Brice Brown.

Brown will be honored at the year-end meeting of the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation Quarterback Club on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at noon at Rock ā€˜nā€™ Bowl, 3016 South Carrollton Avenue.

The Quarterback Club has its year-end awards luncheon next Tuesday, Dec. 12 at noon at Rock ā€˜nā€™ Bowl, 3016 South Carrollton Avenue and is open to the public.
