Karr defensive end Jamier Jackson named Metro Prep Player of Week

Karr defensive end Jamier Jackson is the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl/Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation, CrescentCitySports.com and Friday Night Football prep Player of the Week for Week 14.

A senior, Jackson was in on seven tackles, including five for loss and three sacks as top-seed and defending Class 4A state champion Karr downed fourth-seed Warren Easton 20-12 in the state semifinals at Behrman Stadium. Jackson is coached by Brice Brown.

Brown will be honored at the year-end meeting of the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation Quarterback Club on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at noon at Rock ‘n’ Bowl, 3016 South Carrollton Avenue.

The Quarterback Club has its year-end awards luncheon next Tuesday, Dec. 12 at noon at Rock ‘n’ Bowl, 3016 South Carrollton Avenue and is open to the public.
